Engagements - Tara and Jason

Things are finally back up and running around here. It's funny how much we now rely on our websites and email nowadays. I don't know how they used to do it.
To start things off, I wanted to share a very cute little session. Tara and Jason got engaged at The Little Cupcake in Brooklyn and she wanted some of our session there. I thought that was great and it was an awesome little spot. I only wished I could've grabbed a cupcake before we left there. Then I just decided to see where things would take us. There are some great locations around that area if you do some digging.

Studio Website Update

Well it is day 3 without our website or email. Our web hosting company is in Red Bank and got hit hard with the storms and power outages last week in that area. They told me that we should be back up any time now as the servers are rebuilding themselves from backups.

Best New Store Design!!!

While I was away, Tami and Frank went to a lovely award ceremony in Short Hills. We were awarded "Best New Store Design" by the township of Millburn. It was great to be recognized out of all the new businesses that have started up around town. Tami put a lot effort to make our new store have a look like that would just wow people. Now we know that it got noticed!!

Engagements - Andrea and Joseph

On days when I am going to do engagement sessions, I am always watching the weather. Hot summer days can lead to some pretty nasty thunderstorms. On the day of Andrea and Joseph's session, it could have gone either way. All day, weathermen were calling for 50% chance thunderstorms. Usually, I would reschedule for another day. Something just told me to go for it. At Ft. Wadsworth, we had a small patch of blue sky with storms all around us. Andrea even grabbed an umbrella just in case we got hit. It ended up getting used more as a prop as we finished up a beautiful shoot.

Lauren and Trevor, Newport Beach CA

I am going to blame my blogging break on jet lag but I just came back to the start of the busy wedding season. I've been meaning to get these shots up from my trip to California but it was hard to narrow down. We had a beautiful, sunny day for photographs and an awesome couple to work with. We played around the Newport Beach pier area to find some different locations then hit the beach. It took me a little while to get used to the sun being on the wrong side of the beach. :)
Finally, you can't have a wedding in Southern CA without some palm trees.

Thanks to Brody and Stacy of Brody Dezember Photography for teaming up with me.
