Engagements - Nicole and Jonathan with video

Yesterday, Tami and I had another awesome engagement session. With so many great images, I had to put together another little video.

Nicole and Jonathan have a unique situation. We actually are not photographing their wedding day. They did't find us until they already had another photographer booked. She saw a friends images that we had taken a while back and loved them--so we decided to have some fun anyway and do an engagement shoot.

We started at Nicole's house in Old Bridge that was absolutely beautiful--the landscaping was just like being in some of the nicest parks around. Next we headed to Spring Lake for some beach shots. Unfortunately, the beach took a beating with the last storm we had, but we still got some amazing stuff out of it. Take a peek--see what you think!

Engagements - Linda and Justin with video

I had to take some time away from the blog because engagement sessions have gone into high gear. If you haven't yet scheduled a time for one, I would give us a call as soon as possible. We currently are booking two to three weeks in advance.

I figured I would start things back up with an awesome session.

I have been friends with Justin since high school. When he told me about his engagement to Linda, I couldn't wait to photograph them. It's so much fun photographing a close friend. They are open and ready for some of the wildest things I can come up with.

Since they live in the city, I thought it would be great to photograph them there. I chose Tribecca for the shoot because to me it really shows the character of NYC. The old buildings, the cobblestone streets, and all the color bring life to the usual grey cold city. I could wander around there for hours with a couple. The funny part is that they live in the city and had never been down there before.
After an hour of fun, Linda wanted to go to a spot in Central Park that she had heard was absolutely beautiful, the Bethesda Fountain. By the time we got there, the sun had set but that has never stopped me before. With a little creative lighting and an awesome location, we finished up a highly successful session.

The other great part about photographing friends is the dinner afterwards. We hit one of my favorite restaurants, Victor's Cafe. If you are ever in the Times Square area and love Cuban food, definitely check it out for some great food and sangria to die for.

Linda and Justin will be getting married later this summer in Cancun. I can't wait for that!!!

Laura and Christopher

Laura and Christopher had a wonderful wedding at The Riverhouse in Brielle. They also happen to live across the street from Frank. When you photograph people you know, you get to here what others say about you. Laura said that all she heard was she had to use us!!!!
Michael and PJ got some great shots.

Laurie and David - Video

As promised, here are some awesome shots from Newport.
Laurie and David had a beautiful wedding at Belle Mer. It is a gorgeous venue with magnificent views. I would highly recommend anyone looking to have a wedding in the New England area to check it out.
For me, the best part of the weekend was being in beautiful new locations with a great couple.

The Breakers

We haven't finished sorting through all the images from our wedding on Saturday to our favorites. We will have some great shots to post tomorrow. Until then, I thought I would share some of our site seeing.
The Breakers is one of the largest and most famous mansions in Newport. It truly is a site to see. Built in the late 19th century, it has five floors totaling 130,000 square feet. It's so big the tour is an hour long and you only see two of the floors. The inside is so elaborate they allow no photography. One tapestry dates back to the 17th century. The level of detail in every room was incredible.

Engagements - Laurie and David

Laurie and David picked a great spot to have their wedding. Newport is absolutely beautiful and it has great sentimental value for them.
They never had an engagement session so we decided to head out and play yesterday. Their outfits were awesome. They went so well with the glamorous mansions and majestic coastline. I can't wait to get them out for some more shots today.

Engagements - Lauren and Ed

Things are really starting to pick up with the weather changing. I had a great shoot at Ft. Wadsworth this week with Lauren and Ed. Lauren has been a bridesmaid in a couple of my weddings already and now it's her turn! The wedding is not until next year but I am really looking forward to their day after this shoot. Ed and Lauren were so much fun to work with. They made me fill my entire camera card!!

Engagements - Raven and Erik

DUMBO is a great place to photograph! There are so many awesome little spots with so much personality. Things are also constantly changing with the revitalization of the area. One of my favorite buildings is now unusable because of construction--but this forces us to find something new and even better.

Michelle and Christopher

I've been trying to catch up on all the great shots over the last two months.
Michelle and Christopher had some awesome shots in downtown Summit. It's great to see more couples venturing to locations out of the norm. There are so many great spots that people pass by everyday.
I also have to give kudos to Frank and PJ for some great images.
